To resolve this, on the DPM server, copy the below code into PowerShell for DPM.
osql -E -S localhost\MSDPM2010 -d DPMDB -Q "UPDATE tbl_MM_ArchiveMedia SET IsSuspect = 0"
Refresh DPM and you should now see the tape(s) are no longer marked as suspect

Occassionly when you insert a new tape into your tape drive/library, DPM 2010 may mark a tape as 'Suspect'. This is known to be more common with LTO tapes that use barcodes for identification. If the tape is marked as Suspect, no data can be written onto it.
To resolve this, on the DPM server, copy the below code into PowerShell for DPM. osql -E -S localhost\MSDPM2010 -d DPMDB -Q "UPDATE tbl_MM_ArchiveMedia SET IsSuspect = 0" Refresh DPM and you should now see the tape(s) are no longer marked as suspect
