I for one have a 'LinkedIn contacts' and a Microsoft Outlook 'Suggested Contacts' contacts folder within my contacts. I don't want these displaying in my ShoreTel Communicator software or on my handset.
As quoted from Shoretel:
Beginning with version 18.41.9700, the default behavior was changed so that now the Outlook folder list will NOT be scanned unless the registry entry is created and set to zero (0), to force it to traverse the folder list.
Do Not Walk Outlook Folders - this registry option was created to tell the Contacts add-in to not scan the Outlook folder tree, and instead only open the assigned folders selected in the ‘Upload Options’ in Communicator for Windows
To re-add the '+' sign, create the following registry key:
Location: "HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareShoreline TeleworksShoreWare Client ”
DWORD value: DoNotWalkOLFolders
Value (Hex): 0
You can use Group Policy Preferences or a Logon Script to push the registry setting out to all of your users.
